Great Day Hikes in Pukaskwa National Park

Pukaskwa National Park, Ontario

What we liked best about Ontario’s Pukaskwa National Park is that it offers outstanding remote wilderness but is easily accessible. Tucked away along the northeast shore of Lake Superior, it lies roughly halfway between Thunder Bay and Sault Ste. Marie, and only 15 km off the Trans Canada Highway. It consists primarily of bald, granite peaks rising about 700 metres above the sun-baked Namib Desert, looking strangely out of place… Read moreSpitzkoppe Namibia – Photography on the Rocks

Namibia was definitely a highlight, especially the incredibly reddish-orange dunes of Namib-Naukluft National Park and the fairytale rock formations of Spitzkoppe. Just as compelling was Kluane National Park in Yukon, and in particular flying over the awesome Kaskawulsh Glacier. The Sumidero Canyon in Chiapas, Mexico offered some marvellous wild landscapes, both… Read more18 Favourite New Landscape Photos from 2018
